Anyone every use a Customaquatic sump? http://customaquatic.com/customaquatic/ ... tID=fi-stf model: FI-CA301216 I was thinking of one of these with a Euro-Reef ES5-3 skimmer for my 75gal. I notice that it doesn't have any baffles, is this a big concern?

My 75 gallon tank which I'm going to switch to saltwater had African Cichlids in it. It had recessed (sp) lighting grate at the bottom to distribute the load of all the rocks. My question is should I keep this at the bottom and put my sand over it? Or get rid of it all together. Or raise it off...

I have a Fluval 404, was planning on selling it to a friend of mine. Should I keep to hook to sump and run carbon once in a while. Or just get rid of it.

I read in the beginners section that live sand can prevent the cycle from happening. So this should be added after the live rock has cured and the tank has cycled. I plan on using aragonite sand on bottom then layer of live sand.

When setting up a new tank does it matter if you get uncured or cured live rock? Can you put either right into your new system? Or do you have to soak in a different container. Sorry for the dumb questions. Doing research for setting up my 75 gallon tank. Alot of great info on this site. Thanks...
