  1. 20g nano pics

Hi Matt not sure what it is exactly, I have it labeled as spongodes but the two look about the same too me. I really like how it is able to plate/branch for growth. Its even developing purple tips which is pretty neat. I could definitely frag a piece if you want to meet up sometime.
  2. 20g nano pics

Bleeding blue, thanks very much for the compliments, I try my best. Usually I try to have things "offset but balanced". Like the main rock is to the right and a large structure, slightly higher and larger than anything else is the main focus, and even for corals I have the formosa right near the...
  3. 20g nano pics

Thanks everyone, and I am very honored Brandon. The 20g is actually no longer *ducks for cover* :) . I actually upgraded to a 40g, but my maintenance is the same but just on a larger scale, I find that the prizm does a good enough job even on my 40g. If I had the money I'd by maybe a euroreef or...
  4. new pics of my 20g

Thanks Brandon, yea the frogspawn has learned to even like the clown. Also you should see this green caulastrea I have that the clowns also host in, that one had me very surprised. I'll attatch a couple pics of the new 40g if you guys don't mind it being in the nano-forum
  5. new pics of my 20g

    I had 1 x 175w ushio 10000k and 2 x 55w pc actinics, one 7100k and one 03. However the 20g is no more, I upgraded to a 40g and added a 95w vho superactinic to the mix.
  6. Clean up crew.

Matt were you still interested in the maxima?
  7. where can i get the big copepods?

    amphipods?
  8. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

What types of corals/sps do you plan to have in your tank? I might advise more flow depending on what is in your tank. The other specs look pretty good. What kind of skimmer is it?
  9. ok now

BTW an above tank refugium would work well if you drill the tank, and just have water pumped up and drain straight down into the tank below. Also you could possibly use a rubbermaid container if cutting out a hole for that would be easier.
  10. ok now

He won't eat food you feed it if he doesn't feel like it, its not like he will be forced to eat or starve, because more often than not if he runs out of pods he'd rather starve than eat what you feed him. Anyways that out of the way, make sure to have lots of macro for the pods to munch on and...
  11. My 20... sort of a nano...tank.

Very nice. Once the colonies start filling out it'll look especially nice. What lighting do you have on the tank?
  12. Slow Going in the nano form

Yea you should see that loripes when it gets bright purple/blue tips, its a real nice piece.
  13. new everything please help brandon429

Oh and btw how is the mandarin doing? Getting enough food? Reason I ask is because imo they can be kept in smaller tanks, I had one in the 20g but it unfortunately got sucked up into an uncovered pump tube to my old fuge :( . It was always nice and fat and even ate mysis.
  14. new everything please help brandon429

Not bad. I'd say with that many fish you'll need to keep up with water changes and such because of how much waste produced, and I'd say a skimmer would be a huge benefit. Also water changes maybe every week or so. I have 6 fish in my 20g and I am only able to keep trates down because I have...
  15. new pics of my 20g

Ah ok I see what you mean. In that case it wouldn't be a nano. But also jmo with sps/clams its hard to keep them in a 20g because of the strong growth etc. Oh and stuff 5 and under and such I'd consider "pico" reefs just to go into more descriptiveness lol. Anyways, happy reefing all.
