  1. Does the hobby die without FedEx?

Jenn I got into this hobby after spending the last 15 years working with Chameleons and Day Gecko's. I've imported my own CITES animals, traveled most of Europe collecting new bloodlines from other breeders, I even traveled to Madagascar to study a particular species in the wild to find out how...
  2. Does the hobby die without FedEx?

JennM maybe you could direct us to these LFS's that are top notch and we should all be buying from. I live in PA. Most are garbage! Plain and simple. If it came down to Fed Ex not delivering I guess Kevin would have to call me when things are ready a week or two in advance so I can fly out to...
  3. Pseudanthias cf. engelhardi or carlsoni

Excellant pictures! The first picture is a fish that is very similar to a species found also in southern Japan to the Philippines. Kuiter makes a note that the fish from Japanese and Philippino waters is distinct in that the spot is equally devided between the fin and back. Your fish doesn't...
  4. Pseudanthias cf. engelhardi or carlsoni

The ventrailis that have been coming out of Tonga have had poor success. The temps they were collected at were in the lower 60f's at 50m+. The Cook Island form seems to be alittle more durable. Like you said a species tank is a big advantage with the species. I am on a waiting list for...
  5. Pseudanthias cf. engelhardi or carlsoni

I wouldn't mind a fair sized group of Bimacs. Room for more tanks is getting hard to come by though! I am still eagerly searching for olivacous. This species seems to have disappeared from collection. Carl
  6. Pseudanthias cf. engelhardi or carlsoni

Pseudanthias are my only interest in this hobby! I currently keep dispar, engelhardi, flavicauda, lori, parvirostris, and pictilis. In the next couple of month's I will be adding fasciatus and Cook Island ventrailis to my care. Yes please post the picture. Thanks Carl
  7. Pseudanthias cf. engelhardi or carlsoni

Pavaphon did you have females also? I was told females are over all orange and did not have the red patch on the dorsal or the red bar on the mid body. The line running from the upper lip to the pectoral is present and is exact color of the line on the male. I recieved an email today from a...
  8. Pseudanthias cf. engelhardi or carlsoni

Anyone have any ideas on this Pseudanthias? Roughly 10cm-12cm long and a very stocky body. No collection data was available but I suspect the Tonga area as it was collected with Pseudanthias pictilis. Thanks! Carl
  9. and now for something completely different....

Temp I would think would be a huge issue. It's got to be in the low 50's f at that depth. If even that warm. Carl
  10. Pseudanthias olivaceus

Thanks for the heads up anyway. I guess the search and wait is back on. Carl
  11. Pseudanthias olivaceus

If they turn out to be Olives could you please let me know or even better if you could find out who imported them. Thanks! Carl
  12. Pseudanthias olivaceus

Has anyone seen this fish imported lately? I have asked just about every dealer I can find and most have never even heard of it. Carl
