  1. How about a schedule update?

I did't get a Saturday chat session email. Last I heard after Wed 3/19, we would return to scheduled Sunday/Wednesday sessions. Let me know. I don't want to miss anything!
  2. Iwaki WMD 20RLT as circ pump?

sweeet! Thanks for the confirmation Fergy. =)
  3. Iwaki WMD 20RLT as circ pump?

Heeeey Modo! Great find and nice question. I would also love to go with a Iwaki pump. I'm looking forward to hearing more about reducing the fitting. Can't we just get the 3/4" female threaded to a 1/2" male threaded adapter? Short and sweet!
  4. I this chip-out Okay?

*wispers to Hal* FTP your image to the net. Type in your post. Make sure you have BBCodes on. (There is a box where you can check it to disable, located above Disable Smilies and Attach signature) Thats all I do! =)
  5. I this chip-out Okay?

This is Louey's pic stolen offa the general board. I thought I'd move it over here where it belongs... gonna go alphabatise the spice rack next. ; )
  6. More Practice Pics!

Heehee Hal =) The good news for the fish is, that cat may be the most prissy kitten God ever made. Gabe gave her to me when I went off to college. (New school and away from home for the first time = lonely Casie.) We've been through a lot together and shes always been a delightful...
  7. Another lesson 3 question

I routed out the 2 holes in the base front where we were told to drill. I'm blaming Eboman if its not right. ; )
  8. More Practice Pics!

The second betta box went together pretty good. Its feet aren't perfectly level and it will rock a fraction of a inch if you put your finger on the back corner and push. I may try sanding it on a flat peice of sandpaper taped to the bar, kinda like we sanded our tubes... And since I was...
  9. What not to do - chipout example

Yikes! Thanks for sharing your pic, Hal. I'll be cutting my reactor peices tomorrow morning. I will definitely be wearing my lucky socks.
  10. I got in some practice cuts today =)

I was using a regular spiral cut flush bit without a bearing. The bits from Bellew tools arrived so now I know I have the correct bits. That should make the cuts a lot easier. =)
  11. I got in some practice cuts today =)

All router tips are greatly appreciated! I definately will be doing more practice cuts with the router before attempting calcium reactor pieces. I don't feel like I have good control of the material but I can really see where the router is going to be a very useful tool in any future...
  12. beta testing my seams

Ahhh, cool! Some of that makes alot of sense now! I can't believe how much I am enjoying this. Knowing what I was doing wrong just encourages me to try again for better results! Thanks Brian!
  13. beta testing my seams

Yes yes! On to week 3! How do you do the pin/razorblade thing? And does anyone have a good planer or sanding trick to finish the edges for gluing that wont angle the edge? The sand-peices-lightly-over-220-taped-to-the-counter method works great! But what do we do with bigger peices...
  14. beta testing my seams

I wanted to make a small box just to play with the weldon 4 and get a feel for it. Its just a 8x4x8 box... i haven't tried the edge roundover thing yet. Week 3 hurry up! ; ) I just got Gabe to hold the box peices and I taped it all together with cheap 1" masking tape. Then I glued the...
  15. I got in some practice cuts today =)

Heehee! Mardi Gras Rules! Too bad I couldn't make it south this year. =/ Please let me know how your cuts go. I'd love to figure out why I'm having problems on the router cuts. Oh! And you were right about Bellew. The bits arrived today and I still haven't gotten confirmation of shipping. =)
