the only bother i have ever noticed between my lta and pep. shrimp is him stealing food from the lta? i have read that that is completely "normal" interaction although in the wild it may starve the lta to death.

thanks trido! would you recomend sand or mud as a substrate? just thinking sand would be easier and cleaner but i'm not sure whether it is more benficial or not???

did you just cut a hole in the lid of the bottle and fit the pvc in there? is that how the bottle stays up or did you attach it to the aquarium some how?

I'm making a custom hob refugium for my 10 gallon nano. i'm wondering the best media to propagate the most amount of copopods possible. is sand or mud a better option? i'm new to the whole refugium business :roll:

trido yes it is a 10 gallon all glass. i'm kinda new so be as breif as you want and just tell me how it'll work. i'm guessing you mean just feed it with a little pump and just let it flow back into the aquarium?

i feed formula 1 and 2 every day as well as nori for my tang. i feed live brine once a week for a treat. :lol:

just make sure the conditions are ideal....not too much water flow, correct lighting(although mushrooms don't need too much), and i supplemented the water with iodine once a week. my water temp is 80 degrees. they split themselves, as far as i know you can't do anything manually to split them...

My ricordea's are splitting as we speak! i started with 2 individual polyps and now have 15-20! I think mushrooms are absolutely beautiful especially my blue!!!!! thanks for all your suggestions guys! :D :D

The other day i bought a beautiful piece of fiji rock with multiple colorful polyps on it. on one side there are these 2 almost translucent tube-like creatures that seem to wrap around the outside of the rock. the openings have some shades of brown on them and they react when touched. sorry i...
