  1. Sump design (redesign)

I have maxed out the room in the stand and am trying to get the largest 'fuge area possible. I (w/ much help from someone else), have reconfigured it to allow for overflow in case of power outage and think that we have it figured out.
  2. Sump design (redesign)

I am planning on building a sump this weekend, if my design works. Hopefully the "drawing" has all the needed (other than it's 11.5" wide) information. I am unsure of the skimmer make (no identification on it), but the pump on it is a Rio 1100 (382gph), the pump in the return is a Rio 1700...
  3. Sump design?

At the height that the skimmer is sitting, there is space underneath for a bit of liver rock....not a lot, but maybe 5 or 10 pounds. I already have about that much that came w/ the system that I bought. Could be of no real use, but just a thought...
  4. Sump design?

I have modified my idea since that drawing, adding another baffle after the first. I am gonna put live rock in the first and rubble in the 'fuge as not to take up so much space....
  5. Sump design?

I wished that my stand was bigger so that I could do this...
  6. Sump design?

I have been over thinking the H#$L out of this and my brain has completely stopped working. But, because of the height needed for the skimmer it limits the height of the tank. Would it be possible to cut out an area from the side of the tank for the skimmer to sit? Would the baffles for the...
  7. Modification of sump to incorporate refugium?

Display tank is 55g. No, there isn't any more room for adding an additional tank. The stand is both to narrow and short to add anything under the display tank. Edit: Deciding to not take someone else's word for it, I measured underneath the stand and have an area of 31.5L X 30W X 14T to work...
  8. Modification of sump to incorporate refugium?

I have an amiracle sump (not sure of the model number), that only has two chambers and I want to modify it to a three chamber unit to incorporate a refugium. The dimensions of the tank are as follows: 24" long, 10" wide, 14" tall. The sump is divided by a wall that starts at the top and ends...
