Thanks everyone! Great feedback. I should have dipped. I was afraid that I would stress her out even more. But she bit the big one last night. Now...I'm not sure if she had Ick...or if the rocks just beat her up because she was leaning on them. I currently do not see any signs of Ick on my...

The instructions on my protein skimmer communicate to clean the bio-bale in salt water once every 4 months. The guy at the pet shop said never to do that....it would remove the biological filter that had set up in my protein skimmer. I've also read that if the power goes out for more than a...
Exactly how do you do this? I'm thinking fill a cannister with filtered fresh water the same temp as the aquarium. How long do I keep my sick fish in this water? 3 or 4 seconds? I should not put an Stress Zyme or Stress Coat in this fresh water?
Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your reply. I don't think she is going to make it...so a fresh water dip probably wouldn't hurt any worse if there is a possibility that could help. Do I just hold her under the faucet? (Just kidding.) I'm assuming that I need to fill a cannister with filtered fresh...

Possibilities:
1. Ever since I bought a new batch of red seaweed, she has not been eating much. The same day I bought the new red seaweed...I bought a very small Dragon Wrasse and a Sand Sifter. The Sand Sifter has re-arranged the entire aquarium floor. Could this be stressing her out...
Does anyone know how to lower Nitrate other than water changes? I'm thinking I'm over-feeding plus...I have a hair algae problem I have been attacking for weeks. I've been scrubbing my live rock...and doing 30% water changes for the past two weekends. My Nitrate level is approximately 20 ppm.
I'm mainly interested in the soft corals and anomones. I currently have a small clump of Xenia...and what I think is an Orange Nepthia. Both are doing very good. I would like to purchase some type of anemone..and more soft corals. I currently only have two Percula Clowns, 1 Orange Tail...
I am so confused after reading all of the articles on lighting. I currently have a 55 gallon tank with 2 - 65 watt 10K/Actinic SmartLamps. It appears that this is not enough from my reading attempts. I also have a standard hood light with a Coralife Trichromatic 6500K full spectrum light, but...
Thanks for your response. I do have an established system..and I have been trying to do research. I have numerous books...but none have any "detail" on the Nepthia. I've done searches on all of the internet search engines...and only come back with responses on where I can buy them. Do you...
I just purchased a beautiful orange Nepthia a couple of days ago. I have leaned it up against my live rock, but it keeps kindof falling over. Is this normal? Does anyone have any helpful hints on how to keep this guy pretty and alive?
