    these are so small they would not show up via digital macro. they are small white bugs about 1/4 to 1/2 the size of a pin head that crawl on the glass. this 12 gal nano reef is new and started cycling 14 days ago.

    Purchased 13 lbs of tonga and fiji LR. added 11 lbs of aragonite. (LS) in a 12 gallon jbj nano dx. this setup has been running for 10 days now. i have tested nitrite, nitrate and ammonia everyother day, all readings have been steady at "0" since day 1. ph is 7.8 to 7.9 no coral or fish. there...

    I to upgraded the powerhead in my jbj. to remove the top tilt all the way back as far as it will go, the hinges are kinda of a cam action. they need to be lined up for the hinge to slide out. look closely and u will see the solution.

    purchased 13 pounds of tonga live rock from local fish store today for a nano. there is some old brown algae still on it and looks quite a mess. its in the tank now, should i remove it and rinse or brush off the dead algae? or how should i prepare it if anything.
