do i have to have other filtration besides the bioballs? any kind of mechanical filtration? or other for fresh water?

piranha's. so i can keep the sump and bioballs (and add carbon or sponges)but ditch the skimmer for a canister filter? should i or do i have to add biowheels? thanks a million in advance!

Whats the best additive to promote massive growth of corraline??? I have a FOWLR and been dosing with kalk... but no growth! It's been 4 months.

How big of a RIO pump do any of you recommend with an ETSS reef devil skimmer. I know you all hate rio's so lets not make this a dump the rio thread. Just what size you might recommend...2100,2500. Thanks!

I understand how everyone feels about rios...i plan on replacing in about 8 months when i move across country! but please just answer the question...Rio 2100 & 2500----which one should be the return and which one should be the skimmer pump?

I have a 70 gal. FOWLR, a wet dry, and an etss reef devil 3 skimmer. I have a rio 2100 and a 2500 pumps to use. Which one should i use for the skimmer and which one should i use for the return pump to the main tank from the sump???

What else do y'all put in your tank to stimulate corraline algae. I dose kalk as top off water and nothing else. Should i be dosing other things to stimulate growth?
