Looking for either the regular or the pro. Thanks
  2. BTA not extending, looks off

So I’ve had this Rose BTA for about 1.5 years and about 6 months ago was accidentally injured during routine maintenance. At first, it fully receded and refused to do much of anything. Suddenly, it decided to move to the glass and has stayed there in its current form for the last few months. It...
  3. Thoughts on new budget lighting

So my old lighting system is on the fritz and I thought this is the perfect opportunity for an upgrade. So I am stuck between getting 2 Marsaqua 165W LEDs or 1 48? 324W LED. Which do you guys think is better for a 48? 75gal? Here are the links for each...
  4. Diatoms won't stop

I just realized my timer for alkalinity has been broken, no wonder it's so low. But normally I dose 2 part and my tank is 75gal
  5. Diatoms won't stop

I checked my parameters and my pH was 8.1, Mg was 1400ppm, my Ca was 450ppm and my dKH was 5.8. I had no idea alkalinity was so low (must have been from switching salts. Also the ro water's Tds meter reads 0.
  6. Diatoms won't stop

I will check the alkalinity and pH when I get home. Also for nutrient export, I do 10% water changes every 2 weeks and use a carbon/GFO Reactor. There's also the protein skimmer and chaeto algae
  7. Diatoms won't stop

I've been using ro water since December
  8. Diatoms won't stop

Sorry for it being sideways but here is how it looks in larger problem areas. It definely looks like dinoflagellates now that you mention it.
  9. Diatoms won't stop

My tank is about 2 years old and I have constantly struggled with diatoms. It only grows on the glass and sand, never on the live rock. After cleaning the glass, it only takes about 2 days for it to start growing back. I have also never been able to grow coralline algae. I have switched to ro/di...
  10. WTB: 75 or 80 gal reef ready tank with stand and sump

    Do you have any pictures
  11. WTB: 75 or 80 gal reef ready tank with stand and sump

Looking for new or used reef ready tank with stand + sump. I prefer the deep blue 75 gallon tanks but it doesn't have to be. The sump should be about 30g and I prefer if the stand is not custom made since most of the time it does not have doors. Please provide pictures or dimensions if possible.
