  1. Blue tangs

    a 30 gallon is way to small for a blue tang of any sort. Pacifics are especially fast growing... you might be able to get by with two months before you start inhibiting his growth.

  3. Pop Eye???

    Melafix is good for popeye... Usually pop eye is a symptom of low water quality... do your best and get ontop of water changes in the main and in the QT... check your water parameters... you may want something a little more strong than melafix, your lfs should have an antibacterial you can get...

    So wait, you have a hippo tang that you are trying to fit into a 55? 8 years old? Isn't it huge??? Sounds cramped already to me... I wouldn't put a hippo in anything less than 125 gallons... where was he prior to this? How big of a tank?

    I agree with ChrisRD, this guy you are getting advice from doesn't really respect the animals he is selling. I've been doing this stuff for three years, did all the newbie mistakes, (took advice from the LFS, added way to fast, didn't look up compatibility issues, etc.) and it cost me a grand...
  6. Livestock list

    The hippo will definately get too big, and make sure your tank has been established for a year before adding the mandarine and make sure you have a great pod population for him. The rest are fine
