  3. Nice White Reef Sand to Use

peterh1975 - you can probably save yourself alot of money by taking a short 10-mile drive :D You can buy pure aragonite sand at Tropical Paradise in San Leandro. I think 40# bags go for about $20 each.
  4. Anenome for a 10 gal.

    Upstairs at Nippon?
  5. Aquaclear 500 as refugium??

I'm a little too tired to do the math, but you can find the AC500 dimensions here: http://channelcat.netfirms.com/filter-sizes.htm HTH!
  6. Aqua-C vs Euro-Reef

I've never owned an AquaC, so I can't comment on them. I run a Euro-Reef CS6-2 on my 100g reef and it's one great skimmer! As EmilyB mentions, if you're looking at a high bioload, you may want to step up to a CS6-4, or even up to the CS8 series...at least get one with the Sedra 5000 pump instead...
  7. Beginner Coral?

I'll 'third' that book recommendation! The only other thing I would suggest would be to NOT rush through this book. Actually, if you're anything like me, you'll never finish reading this book...I still refer to mine a couple of times every week. I'd say it's a "must have". That's my $.02
  8. Allow myself to introduce...myself.

Well, thank you folks for the "Welcomes" - and welcome to Nancy too. BTW, here's my first newbie question - what's with the {squat} thing? EDIT: And LOL newreefman1 & Jeff - can't wait for Austin III! Cheers [ February 18, 2002: Message edited by: gcvt ]</p>
