I have used on one of my tanks for my closed loop a heater guard that looks alot like that fitting and is a friction fit as well they are easy to get at any lfs. HTH

Can someone pls explain closed loop pls, I am not sure what the rave of this type of circulation is so if someone has a diagram or pics of what this is pls help!!
