FWIW, you pretty much get what you pay for with skimmers. Spend a few bucks more for a good one - it will be well worth it down the road. Is a Prizm worth the money?

I am going to buy a 29 gallon reef tank w/Fiji live rock & 2-3 fish, and aragonite sand and coral. Would a sea clone skimmer alone do the trick for filtration? How about a Skilter? Some say Skilters are good and some don't. Any suggestions?

I am new to the hobby and I am wanting to start up a 29 or 20 gallon tank. Exactly what type of lighting should I use? Also, is a combination skimmer/filter good to use? I could use any advice. Thanks!
