Looks like a baby Shameface Crab. I have a tiny one in a little 2gal set up. Definatly not safe as you already know and can get quite large.

I believe Marine Bettas are a type of grouper. It will get a fairly good size and eat any small fish. But I could be wrong.

Theres plenty of bubbles in the column but just hardly anything actually gathering at the top. Like I said, when I start it up it works great but drops to almost nothing in an hour or two.

If Im not mistaken I believe this is the type of star that eats coraline. Ive always been told theyre not very good for your tank. If it is that one they stay small and can divide into large numbers fairly fast.

Yep its a Chiton. Actuall species is Cryptoplex. Just like all chitons its completely harmless.
