Hi rhodes,
I live in Evansville Indiana and I have been looking everywhere for southdown.Where in Louisville is this Home depot.I dont know Louisville that well so some directions would be great.e-mail me as I have a couple of questions.I tried to e-mail you and it didnt work.
Go with a pm hot1.Ive got one on my 55g and it is a scum sucking machine.I got mine used but you can find them on the net new for about 169.00 try marinedepot.com
I used red slime remover made by ultralife reef products.alot of people dont believe in chemicals but worked for me with no side effects.Just make sure you take the carbon or whatever filter media you use out and turn your skimmer off for 48 hours.
I just bought a icecap 660 with the bulbs and installed it in the canopy for my 55g.My question is can I get away with no fans or should I install a couple. If so where can I pick up some cheap.Im a pretty good do-it-yourselfer.Sorry it is 4 110w bulbs and the back of the canopy is open.
I have a 55g reef with about 40lbs of rock and a very shallow sand bed.My question is can I add about 50lbs of rock and 3 or 4" of sand out of an established tank that has been setup for 3 years.I have to travel about 1.5 hrs to pick it up.How bad will that effect it.Please your opinions are...
I am interested in what all of you hang-on skimmer users think.Whats the best hang-on skimmer you've ever seen,or used.I know there are alot of differences such as what size tank and bioload. But everyone's opinion is worth a listen.
