unfortunately we only get 2 or 3 sunny days a month here in the
winter.
i have a 250w metal halide i think i'll put over it. its a superwarm
bulb, for growing plants. that shouldnt be a problem for the mangroves though, right? i think the bulb burns at about 3500. its really orange.
what intensity of lighting do mangroves need?
im not looking for fast full growth on the trees,
just want to keep them healthy and taking up nutrients.

i agree with beerbarron on the mexican turbos.
they run over everything. ive had quite a few problems with my turbos
running over xenia polyps and killing them. also my yellow colony polyps
have been damaged a little too.

i have a cpr bak pak, and also a fairly large brittle star.
the brittle star crawled in the outflow tube of the skimmer.
while he was in there, he balled himself up.
he was restricting the water flow enough that
it it started coming out of the top of the skimmer.
