  1. Small problem with AquaC Remora prefilter box

I actually remember drilling a small hole in the other side of mine back in the day and adding a suction cup from one of my heaters to it to hold it straight to the glass. could give that a try.
  2. What can I do to prevent a fire

yes an amprobe will tell you if there is too much of a draw also if you can come across one, and yes an electrician should run a new line if needed.
  3. What can I do to prevent a fire

another problem that people have with electric is putting too much of a draw on a single circuit, i have 2 dedicated lines for my tank. to tell if there is a strain on the circuit, you must find out what line the tank is on, and feel the wire iside the panel to make sure it is not hot to the touch.
  4. What can I do to prevent a fire

im an electrician and to be honest if your wiring/splicing is done right and you have a GFI protecting the tank there is no chance of a problem. A regular murry circuit breaker will trip long before a fire unless your panel is very old.
  5. Pics of SW mixing stations

  6. Man steals shark/eel at LFS

  7. super six line wrasse

About 3 months ago my six line went missing from my d/t and i had slight stray voltage at the time and i assumed that he either jumped out or died and got eaten, then the other day i had my head under my tank as usual and happend to look up and saw a flash of him in the overflow! After a rescue...
  8. Deep sand bed info

Im re-doing my sump/fuge setup in my basement under my tank and i am thinking of adding a really deep sand bed to my fuge and i was wondering if anyone has a good link or article on the pros and cons and do's and donts for a RDSB.
  9. film on top of water

I get this sometimes when my overflow is a little clogged, it will go away if your overflow/skimmer pulls from the top like it should, sometimes aiming a power head a little up helps too. (the film is organics rising to the surface and should be pulled out by a skimmer)
