I definitely agree. The magfloats are fine for general cleaning, but the stronger magnets are definitely worth it in wear and tear on your arm for diatoms and corraline algea. Plus they work much better for thicker glass or acrylic.

And anything else it can get its lips around. Definitely not a reef-safe fish. I had one for a long time in an FO tank. The poor thing died a few months ago for some reason. He was only two or three years old too. He picked at absolutely everything, and decided one day to evicerate a few shrimp.

Interesting idea. It would have to be custom made though, and anyone who would be brave enough to make it for you would probably charge a pretty good amount for it. Have you thought about customizing your overflows a little? Maybe make the drains/returns about 1 &1/2" and then do corner...

My tank is viewable on both sides, but not the ends. I put an acrylic safe magfloat 360 on both sides of the tank. If I could find them, I'd probably use a stronger magnet, like a aquariumcleaner.com Great White magnet or a magnavore (more expensive). The magfloat is ok, but it isn't good at...

One word: Don't. I tried a small school. Even in my tank, it didn't work. I think they really only feel comfortable in a large group, and I only got three to start with. They all hid, didn't ever come out, and eventually died. A good waste of money there. I could probably get a good size school...

I've seen other setups like this. Good dispersion and water flow. Usually, they run along the back of the tank because maintenance is harder when you have something in the way all the time. You might want to angle your 90 degree elbows to bounce off the front & back glass though. If they point...
