I have to hand it to ALS lighting. I emailed tham about my bulb and with no hesitation, they offered me a new bulb. I received it yesterday and will definitly purchase from them again. Its nice to know some companies still believe in customer service. Way to go ALS.

I love the idea of black sand....... I used to live in Hawaii and the Big Isalnd had black sand beaches, but I think it was illegal to remove it....

I received an Email from ALS today and they are replacing the busted MH buld for me. Great customer service and quick results. I will definitely buy from them in the future! LBP PS - I will update when I get the replacement bulb.

I have tried 3 browsers and the images are all broken for me. Bummer - I grew up on Oahu - I wanted to see the pics.

I got a big piece out easily - it was laying on the rock work, but there are smaller pieces behing the rock, not too small, but I can't reach them. I am planning on re-scaping my rockwork anyway - so I will removed the last pieces then. GRRRR

Well I wrote to ALS yesterday and got a breif email back asking me if I had any of the bulb left. I just reposnded that yes, I have the half that is stuck in my socket! I have to figure out how to get it out... I will let you know what happens. PS: mine was a 250 watt 12K sunburst

I bought a cheap vase from the dollar store that had a wide bottom, got skinny then a wide mouth. I put a peice of shrimp in it and tilted it on my LR overnight. The next morning I had a huge mother sitting pretty inside - trapped. Worked like a charm in one night! HTH
