  1. My 29 gal, Its pretty small..

Here are some new pictures, some taken at night, some during the day. Various goodies in the tank, and I finally got a tripod, so I think my quality will increase(for my photographs). --Chris..
  2. Idenitfication Help

I recently discovered this while examining my aquarium after it was completely dark in the house. I am not sure what it is. But these 'tendrils' or 'sweepers' seem to radiate from a central point and stretch out for several inches and flit about looking for food I am guessing. -- Chris
  3. Clean up crew.

I have actually seem my hermits eat hair algea, they have cleaned it up in a few spots. I started with 1 dozen hermits, and i am down to 11, not sure what happened to #12, I think he was eaten by his mates.. --chris
  4. My 29 gal, Its pretty small..

Brandon, The ricordia are actually a very bright orange, I just can't quiet get them to photograph the same color as they are. I will continue to try. Also, as I was looking at my tank last night after the lights went out, I think I would another part of the BTA that I put in a few months...
  5. New 10 Gallon Nano

With the algea I have seen it come and go in my other tank, the green stuff my crabs have been taking care of and its almost all gone from the 29gallon. I am going to keep the plumbing for the time being, I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet. Most likely I will get rid of it and...
  6. My 29 gal, Its pretty small..

Here are some pics as I said I would post, these are mostly some detail shots. I thought you guys might enjoy them. If you have any questions feel free..
  7. New 10 Gallon Nano

Here you go.. there are just quick and dirty.
  8. New 10 Gallon Nano

I already notice the heat build-up, but it is staying within nominal levels. I am not really one to put fish in my aquariums, althogh I almost bought a nice purple firefish over the weekend for the 29gal., but most likely not. I feel that I will be using the 96 Watt Powerquad when I am able to...
  9. Red sea prizm hang-on skimmer

I currently run the CPR BAK-PAK 2-R which has no bio-bale, and no sponge on the return. It works very well on my 29 gallon, and I plan to use one on my 10 gallon. Only gripe is that its a little hard to clean, but I think I have found the right brush for it now. Just my two cents.. --Chris
  10. New 10 Gallon Nano

I was thinking of using a 65W PC, or maybe even a 96W PC, not completely sure yet. I want to let this thing age a big before I start stocking it.
  11. New 10 Gallon Nano

Yeah, those pic's of Matts plumbing are heinous. I was kindof at that point when i was designing it, you should have seen the way I was standing around the sprinkler/pvc/plumbing type area of the locale HD, I was like a fiend. I will be shooting more pictures of the nano, and of my 29 gallon...
  12. New 10 Gallon Nano

Yeah, but I like to keep it a bit cooler. Maybe i will add a sump in the cabinet under the tank... --Chris
  13. New 10 Gallon Nano

well.. yeah drilling isnt too much of an option at this point. I may just abandon my plumbing and just place the maxijet in there. But, who knows. Right now I am wrestling with the temperature. Its sitting around 82 Degrees. Everything seems to be cool though. I used 5 gallons of tank water from...
  14. New 10 Gallon Nano

The top is somewhat sealed yes. I started out trying to put the pump on the outside and i would still like too, I just couldnt't get it to pickup water. I was thinking of a firefish or something of the like, but it needs to sit for a good bit and get into the water to the right parameters.
  15. New 10 Gallon Nano

Here is my new nano, its a 10gallon with my own funky plumbing, which i will probably be changing, or at least adding some sort of small sump. -- 10 Gallon 15# LR 20# LS --chris
