  1. Hey guys, check out my NIP

It got a slow leak in one of the seals so I had to break it down. Moved everything into my 65g but will eventually re-seal and set up again. When that happens, I'll post again. Thanks for your interest. Lee
  2. Power Strip

I picked up the below on eBay for $19 plus shipping. It's got 2 power cords, one for each side so you could run a timer on one side by plugging a timer into the wall outlet and plugging the powerstrip plug into the timer. The downside is that the timer would control 8 of the outlets. Lee
  3. External Pumps for Nanos???

Check out my thread on how I am using a MaxiJet 600 externally on my 10G nano: http://reefs.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=26940 Seven months and no leaks or problems with the pump. Lee
  4. Hey guys, check out my NIP

Seven months and 2 water changes later, check out the corraline growth. I did away with the spray bar and added a powerhead, clove polyps, zoos and a small toadstool. The setup has been very low maintainence and fun. I may add a purple acro frag from my display tank once it is big enough to...
  5. Aqua C Remora

I had the same issue with my Remora after about 14 months of use. I took the unit off the tank (dumped water back into tank), put it in a 5 gallon bucket full of vinegar and ran it for about 4 hours. It actually produced some nice vinegar skimmate. I then ran it with RO water for about 30...

  9. Hey guys, check out my NIP

Brandon, Thanks for the bump. I actually had to put the top off on hold for a bit while I batteld cyano in my 65G. I guess it was to be expected with the move - stirred up a bunch of stuff. I didn't lose anything in the move, but cyano can be frustrating and time-consuming. The good news is...
  10. Glass Tank Drilling in Dallas, TX

Bought a glass tank for a sump and need a bulkhead hole drilled. Anyone know of a reasonable resource in Dallas-area? Thanks, Lee
  11. Hey guys, check out my NIP

Matt, Thanks for the compliment. Not sure about clams as I had a bad experience with t gold maxima in my 65g. It was about 6 months old (about 5" wide) and it died. Not sure why as all water parameters and lighting (2x175 mh and 96w pc actinic) should have been enough to keep it alive. I...
  12. Hey guys, check out my NIP

I am actually using a Madison liquid level float hidden behing the pvc overflow with a kalk resevor and microhet pump for top offs. The top off container is a 1.5 quart sterilite container behind the tank. I am thinking about adding a larger resorvoir but for now it seems to be working fine...
  13. Hey guys, check out my NIP

Okay, finally moved and got it set up. What do you think? I think I'll add a little more rock and a fish or two. Evaporatiom is about 1/2 quart per day. No problems with bubbles from skimmer. Lee
  14. Mmmmm, Xenia

Xenia is definitely the victim here. It did manage to pull free but does have some minor damage to the part that was stuck in the "mouth" of the other thing. After it freed itself, it developed a blister-looking thing about 1/2" down from the head. I had thought it could possibly be...
  15. Mmmmm, Xenia

Caught this hitchhiker eating my xenia (grows like a weed, anyway). It looks kind of "polyp-ish", but am not really sure. So, what is it? Thanks, Lee
