from Post: Long tentacle vanishes
He is gone from my tank. Not to be found anywhere. I have
moved the rocks around. Looked with a flashlight. Can't find him
anywhere.
Long tentacle vanishes
He has been out of sight for about 4 to 5 days.
I've had him for about 4 weeks. He has been doing great. Eating well. Sometimes hiding. Today I decided to find him. He's nowhere to be found. There is only one culprit to suspect. It's the white purple...
The net has a small rock in it to hold it tight. Then it is suspended
by tying the fishing line to four corners of the plastic rim, then to
an object in the room on the other end. Now lure them over the
net with food. (or bubbles in my case) Have one hand on the
line and wait till they pass...
I tried the 2 liter bottle with the inverted neck. Then the fish
hook (no one saw me  ). I had 2 damsels. The electric
blue was pretty agressive. This trick worked very well.
The net is a 5 gal. paint strainer. The rim I cut from 1/4" plastic
that I had laying around. Dims. are 6" x 15"...
I have to agree with Ricky. My blenny is a hog. And he really has
a lot of character. When he props up on a rock and looks around,
I just can't help but wonder "What is he thinking?"
I did get him out about a week ago. I took out all of my rock and didn't find when returning the rock he fell out of the second rock that I originally took out :D . I put him in his own 10gal. and enjoy feeding him. Not such a bad guy buy himself  .
As everyone knows carbon is beneficial. However I have read that
in excess(like drinking a good cold beer) this can be a bad thing. That not only does it remove waste product, but it can also remove essential elements. So any suggestions on how much is recommended for a reef? Say per 80 gal.
