hi i am upgrading my lighting on my 125gallon tank .currently have 2 vho 1 anctic 1 50-50 total watt 360 just purchesed 3 250 mh retro kits . my question is how far apart should the mh bulb be from the vho i dont want the heat from the mh to burst my vho is this a concern or not? thanks
hello i was thinking about purchasing a seabee anemone i think i have enough light 125 gallon reef 360 watt vho pluse 3 175 mh before i purchase just wanted to know if these were easy to keep or hard and what do you feed them? also what clown will take host to them . thanks
yes a 10 gallon tank will do just fine i would use 5 gallons of your main tank water and make 5 gallons of fresh ro di salt water put in a sm pump to circulate water do you have any poly filter in your main tank if you do i would use that for bacteria so your qt tank doesnt have to cycle...
sounds to me like the tang you have has ick how long have you had this fish and did you qt the fish before you put it in the main tank . tangs are well known for them to get ick . i would get him out of tank and put him in a qt tank i would not use copper to treat him though tangs have a tuff...
If it were me i would stay away from the tangs i got a hippo and of course it got ich . i have read that almost all tangs get ich i even pit him in a qt tank for 4 wks before putting in my 125 2wks later ich put him back in qt and died there love the fish dont think i will get another one...
the reason why i am using 175 is that i read in here that if tank is i8 inches deap to use the 175 besides a friend of mine is upgrading to a 250 gallon tank he had these on his 125 and kept sps and clams for over 3 yrs now. he gave me the ballast really cheap so i couldnt pass it up :D
