  1. Do chevron tangs mimic potter's angels????

I've wondered this myself many times. Another point to make this case is that the Chevron tangs only exhibit this coloration as juveniles. As adults, they support a drab coloration. Most of the other tang mimics display mimic colors only as juveniles as well. For example, the tang that mimics...
  2. Dumbest thing I ever did. bye bye LiterMeter

Same thing happened to me. I called them, and they told me to take it apart(by removing the 4 screws covered by the sticker label, then soak the electronics in clean RO water(unplugged of course). Then air dry for a couple of days. I put it back together and it works great again.

  4. Pics of my 180g. ecosystem reef

First off, Sue, Beautiful tank! <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote I think the closed system factor is the biggest difference. Corals will release metabolites and chemicals to compete with adjacent corals. But these elements will only compete on a very...

So do those that had faith get a discount, cause...er..I had faith man! This going to be great. My GF gets bored with the amount of time I spend in LFS. Soon, she can just bring a book, and chill in the coffee shop while I annoy the LFS staff.
  6. My Outdoor Mangrove Project

Very cool Cheese, I'm not blessed with year-around warm weather, so I have to keep my mangroves indoors. Nevertheless, I've really been enjoying this little indoor saltwater garden for the last 5 months. I've even put some hardy corals in there: [ July 27, 2001: Message edited by: Markv ]
  7. Poll:Largest SPS/LPS coral

Here's a pic from a store in Denver: That pic is about 4 years old now. They had to upgrade the tank to a 200 gallon wide to accomodate that Euphyllia. It's much larger now. Anyone from Colorado know if this coral is still alive? It was over at Neptune's in their display. Haven't been back...

  9. Poll - Best looking fish

My vote would have to be for my super rare blue ocellaris clown from Makalagua Tini: Ok ok. It's not a real color morph. I've just been mixing blue M&M's into the vibragrow. Hey, if GARF can do it, so can I. [ June 06, 2001: Message edited by: Markv ]
