are maroon clowns kind of aggressive or what? I dont have an anenome, but my maroon spends all day bothering a large mushroom and picking up polyp frags and moving them around in the tank.. its hard to get them to attach to a rock with the clown picking at them all the time...

i was about to mention that you dont really find many saltwater fish in a rainforest as well.. guess i got beat to it... ive been to both the ontario mills one as well as the south coast plaza one.. the fish all looked unhealthy in one way or another..

the hagen ones are good too, silent and i like how they mount to the side of the tank better than the maxijet (less area taken up) on the other hand.. it doesnt allow you to aim the flow to the side like mjs do..

is it possible that the stand had something to do with straining the glass in the tank and causing it to blow out? Just a thought since it was stated that it was a custom made stand

how far away should the speaker be from the monitor? i have my stereo speaker above my monitor on my desk and the screen was shaking for a while.. then it just went away after a few days... its a monitor made within 2 years so it should have the sheilding i assume

but i thought the point of this thread was that cleaning the mechanical filtration cuts down on algae growth. If the mechanical filters are removed, will that lead to increased algae growth?

im not sure if the minibow youre talking about is the all glass one i saw online, but if it is, i gotta say the eclipse looks way better imo, especially in the hood design. I have a 12 gallon eclipse and its a great tank, changing the lighting was easy and the 12 is deep enough to do some nice...

do peppermint shrimp work as well as the cleaners?

so do u guys just pour them into the tank even if theyre really tiny? the ones im hatching also still look like just eggs.. but i guess if fish and coral will eat them i could throw em in

fishaholic- i think you should stay.. running away from something you dont agree with doesnt really solve anything- it just allows what you dont like to take over. I think you will better be able to get your point across if you stay and really argue it rather than just pick up your toys and go...
