  1. my tank 300 gallons

amazing; very nice tank. Do you get your stock from local fish stores, if so, you must have some pretty dedicated hobbyists down there. Keep up the good work, lets see a close up of that angel :)
  2. Aqua Medic Perc 120 4 months on

looks like a nice tank; I like how you have the "moving" corals that kind of sway with the water motion in the tank, to give a more "flowing" feeling to the aquarium. Nice purple tang too; I would get one but my yellow tang and my powder blue, well, they would probably have something to say...
  3. king of the tank....

I had one actually kill one of my margariete (sp) snails to use the shell for a home; needless to say, he does like to munch cyano, so I can't complain
  4. Large Welsh Reef Tank

I want to see this new tank that took the old tank and made it a sump; this means the new tank is, well, gargantuan I would assume!
  5. my 150 gallon tank

impressive; where may I ask do you get your livestock in Maryland? I live in Gaithersburg and have had a hard time finding good quality corals and fish, I don't want to order over the internet because I want to see what I have before I buy it, you know? Looks great though; I feel like it needs...

  7. New Member.........Pictures of my 75 Gal

looks good, love the powder blue, I have one myself in my 75, has been keeping the algae levels down in the tank; question; any methodologies to keepin the sand so white? Any special methods i.e. water changing schedules, dosing, filtration that can keep away the unsightly cyano?
  8. need an id

well in any event, it is a cool looking creature, but I agree, I think it is a jelly ;)
  9. Power compact combination

Hi guys quick question: I am replacing my power compact bulbs: I have 6 55 watt bulbs on top of my tank and one 96 watt bulb in the back. Total of 7 bulbs. My question is what combination of lighting would you use? Would you guys use 7 50/50 bulbs, or maybe 4 daylight and 3 actinics, and since...
  10. WANTED: Pics of tanks with pc lighting

Here is my PC lighting setup with 5 55 watt and 1 96 watt on a 72; it is stilll not enough lighting however, for my brain corals and my crocea clams
  11. New purple gorgonian

awesome specimen, do you have a whole shot of it?
  12. my new WOW

eh, just give him some time, they always rip into any soft coral you have eventually after they settle; I know that for SPS corals, they tend to stay away, but I had to yoink mine after he went nose first into my electric maxima like it was a fine piece of lobster. Good luck, he is a beautiful...
  13. Please help me identify these animals in my refugium!

ok here is a little bit better desc. They are clear animals, no coloration, except a little color on the end of their little legs; they move around slowly but they can turn their body around like a worm. They feed on the algaes in the refug but they do not really get into the sand that much...
  14. Please help me identify these animals in my refugium!

ok I dont have a camera but I have these guys in my refug that have shown up the only addition has been some Chaem. algae about 5 months ago, but they just showed up now. They have 6-8 legs and little feelers on their heads; some are more worm-like. They all look kind of transparent. They are...
  15. My brain corals will not open

Hey everyone have a problem. My brain corals do not open like they used to anymore. They have closed and are a lot smaller than when I purchased them. They still open up at night and I can see their little feelers coming out, but during the day they are closed up. I have power compact...
