try to keep only one kind of hermits. in my experiences with blue legged and scarlets, the blue legged have clawed the poor guys to death. i now only keep scarlets but if its working keep on it. just thought id let you know.

90g reef tank with 20g refugium. liverock, live sand, 1 hallide with 2 VHOs, lots of soft with the odd sps or lps and maybe a mollusk.

yes but this will take time, i had a red tail in my 10 gallon (my first tank) a few years ago with some harlequins and he was fine for about 4 months until he died, but they dont grow overwhelmingly fast. If i still had a FW i would definetly keep a red tail, cool fish

Nothing to be worried about, i have a whitish one and its been dealing with my polyps and mushrooms just fine, does more good than bad and just stays on the glass for me.

My advice is get some inverts-snails and hermit crabs. other than that let the algae flow freely, cause all it will do is grow back
