  1. Maroon pair - sterile???

OK I'll try to keep a long story short. Paired up a couple of GSMs last year. They took to each other right away. Almost a year after they paired, they had their first spawn. 8/6 - first spawn 8/7 - notice the nest is gone, they ate it  8/18 - 2nd spawn, my wife has ZERO patience for...
  2. SpawningBlueRibbonEEl

I thought young males were black, mature males blue, and females (after having been a male) were yellow, in the last stage of it's natural life.
  3. Inland Reef / Reefs.org Salt Analysis Project

Never considered myself smarter than anyone else. I was simply speaking from experience of being on the recieving end of people that take all the precautions you have mentioned during their sampling, and never once have seen a teflon bottle used. Good point about the Nalgene, I should have...

Something else I just thought of....If you make it clear that the results of this study will be widely published and that the laboratory that provided the testing will be referenced, I'm sure you could talk them into a further discount.
  7. Inland Reef / Reefs.org Salt Analysis Project

I just talked to one of our Project Managers here and she told me that a test for ICP-MS would be around $200 and for the quantity of samples you are talking about a discount would most likely be appilied. She said lately we have been offering big discounts to steal business from other labs. I...
  8. Inland Reef / Reefs.org Salt Analysis Project

Sounds like a good project. I work at an environmental laboratory and I think you ought to contact one of the project managers here and they might be able to beat the price you have been quoted. Here's a link to the metals product catalog http://www.gel.net/pdf/Metals-an.pdf And here is the...
