    It took a couple of hrs. to put together. I let the reactor sit overnight after I glued the acrylic to the pvc. KorbinDallas if you want to make one let me know I was thinking about making another one. I have extra pipe. I am going to make a mini with a sand filter I had lying around.

    They are expansion plugs I got from aquatic ecosystems. (no metal parts, only plastic and rubber) They are easy to use, just turn the wing nut.

    The pvc is standard 4" pvc you can buy at Lowels or Home Depot the black caps I bought at Aquatic Ecosystems.

    I finished my 1st calcium reactor a few days ago and it is filled and running. The 2 chambers and plumbing cost me around $100. The co2 tank, regulator and needle valve cost about $100 as well.

    Your biggest problem with air may come from the protein skimmer effluent.

    The worm looks like Eulalia viridis. From "The Modern Coral Reef Aquarium" Vol.3 it states " The basic diet for these bristle worms is dead or dying organisms (Vine, 1986), which can create some concern among aquarists. Although some species look very dangerous, they are quite harmless."
