Well, finally got around to setting the tank up today. So far, I think it looks pretty good. What do you think?

About 8.5". Surprisingly it's still pretty light. Those IceCap ballasts don't weigh much.

I just discovered that there is a small, pinhead-size chip (well, less than 1/4") out of the inside the bottom of my new 75g RR (near the center). I think it was caused by dropping a tool inside when we were building the stand and canopy. Am I screwed? Do I need a new tank?

So that would be 2 conches for my 75, right?

Brand new as in completely empty - no water, no nothing yet.

I simply want what is best for a mixed reef in terms of algae control and keeping the sand bed clean. It's a brand new tank. Nothing in it yet.

Any suggestions on what would be the absolute best way to go in the way of a cleanup crew for a brand new 75g future reef. Also, where would you order it?

I'm now wondering if I should go with a higher flow pump for the closed loop. Something like an ampmaster that pushes over 2000 GPH?

Aside from the recent problem though, how quiet are they?
