Sea Schor in Buffalo Grove is awesome for SPS and other corals, Steves prices are great and he gets some pretty cool stuff in. He also stands behind what he sells. Great customer service.
His display tank is pretty kick but, I can just sit there and stare at it for hours...
Im told he should...
Cheap is the right word.
There products are substandard and there customer service is horrible.
I made the mistake of ordering my Halide/VHO combo from them.
First I just got the hood and ballast no lights, no stands either. Took a week to get the lights and stands. Then got the wrong...
I just purchased a sea hare which is about 6-8" long when crawling around. I put a prefilter on my Maxi Jet 1200 and 2 sponged are Rubberbanded on my 2 mini get 606's. I dont like to have all these sponges in the tank as they are a pita to clean. I was wondering would the sea hare be safe...
I just got a pair of 15k xm 250's yesterday. They look pretty good, although i think ill have to get something to replace my 2 super actnic VHO's to turn down the blue a bit. Ill get a pic when I get home.
Its what they call a rock anenemoe.. Looks pretty happy to me. Like all anenmoes they will move where they are happiest. I had one for a few years, had to get rid of it because it got to big for my nano. But, They can live through just about anything.
Get a GFCI. I learned the hard way. I had a float switch fry on my ato and tank flooded all over my strips.. Being 4am in the morning i didnt think to hit the breaker, so i just grabbed the plugs and WHAM.. 120 volts..
The next day, I spent the 12 dollars at home depot for a gfci.
Raise the temp.. Thats kinda low..
But, I just moved my leather from one tank to another and it did the same thing for like 4 days. They just shrink up for a bit and slough off some mucous to get rid of dirt n grime. Give it a few days.
