temp dropped to 75.8 without lights and reached 77.4 with lights got fans on variable power supply so can alter speeds. looks like they are doing the job ok..may go up a little in summer....

just put 2 cooling fans from computer cases on top of tank run to a 12v power supply temp coming down now currently at 81.5 i use digi thermometer checked against a glass internal.
after reading some of the posts on here. i now find temp ranges confusing.
I know to keep temperature as stable as possible.
but what range should i do this in.
e.g 74-76 76-78 or 78-80 80-82
what is the minimum for reef and fish and what is the max temperatures.
my friend had it under 2 twin T5 3ft and a blue actinic.
i now bought Mh 250w with 20000k lamp.
sms a lot better today all tentacles cam out but not fully.
will see how well it does tomorrow and let you know.

i recently bought a keather coral from a friend it was doing really well in his tank. now i placed it in my tank it has expanded to full size but the tentacles dont really come out.
