Thanks - In the display Im going 4" DSB (purearagonite) and in the fuge, im going 6-8" DSB, with macroalgae (not sure what slecies yet) and whateve else will live there.
Just at the end of the surge, when the sihpon breaks, you can hear it. IT isnt as bad as I thought it was going to be - You should barely be able to hear it once fully enclosed......we shall see ;)
I have heard of people that us a actuated 2 way ball valve, opened and closed by 2 float switches...
I will try that too.
The hole at the top of the U will allow alot of the air to escape also....so I have read. I will post the results after I try it.
thanks
Last night I got my 52 gallon Carlson Surge Device running on my 225 tank, but am running into the same problemd everyone else runs into with these....the sihpon doesnt break all the way. Im using 2" PVC for the discharge, and the tank is filling at a rate of 600GPH. Im going to try the air tube...
I am breaking down my 100 gallon reef that has been up for 3 years. I have 187 lbs of cruched coral that has been in there the entire time. It is free, if you can come and pick it up. This is first come first serve and I would preffer that someone took all of it took all of it.
This is a great...
