  1. Hitchhiker Crab?

Whatever species they were, they are now gracing the tanks at my LFS, contacted them earlier, they were more than happy to take them off my hands, I wouldn't have been able to kill them its not there fault they didn't suit my setup. Thanks all for your replays. PP
  2. Hitchhiker Crab?

These are a dark brown in colour, hairy legs and black pincers. From looking at the web I don't think they are the right colour for Mithrax. Could they be a specie of Gorilla Crab?
  3. Hitchhiker Crab?

Checked all my Live Rock, found another one looks exactly same as other in photo, but smaller, If they won't kill hermits, cleaner shrimp or 2 fish I could put them in the other tank?
  4. Hitchhiker Crab?

Hi I received my live rock today, and noticed the crab below in one of the holes, we managed to flush him out using a Turkey Baster. Is he bad, we don't have a Sump, so if he his bad he will have to go, whats the quickest and least gory way (freshwater)? If I leave him in will he kill my...

It's been doing it all day, when I said 15-20 heads I've just had a look and its about 50 heads and it looks like each one of the heads at some time or other throughout the day is secreting this stuff from its centre. The entire thing also seems to have moved, can they do this? Can you tell...

Thank You again, for all your advice, I have got 2 so far, am having to knock them off my zoa then catch them in a net as they float about, I'm a bit squeamish about catching them in anything that might squash them, just hopefully 1 more to go :) It's a shame my Clown or my Blennie are not...

Hi Thank You for your posts. I have read through this article, and it looks like I have purchased myself some zoanthid eating nudibranch. OK, from what I have read these are bad, how do I get rid quickly (only been in a day), will they come back once I remove the ones I can see?

Hello, Help, this is my first posting. Put my first polyp zoa in yesterday and have about 4 kg live rock. Last night on the glass at water line seen for the first time looks like a spiky caterpiller, although does not move like one, it has 2 antennae like a woodlice, a bit like a bug, its...
