  1. What in Neptune's World?

I would say it is Ecsenius fourmanoiri Allen
  2. Epoxy for Live Rock

I've used a brand called Z-Spar for that purpose. It is very sticky and cures very hard and strong. Downside: only comes in 2-quart kits for about $70. It works better than anything else I've used though. Allen
  3. Red Green Jawfish (New fish?!?!)

With the name "Red Green" I really expected it to be wearing a flannel shirt and hunting cap. 8) Allen
  4. IMAC...WOW!!

IMAC started the year that there was a question whether MACNA would go on or end forever. Obviously, it has continued. The International moniker was used to distinguish it from MAC. I believe it was started by the Chicago reef club and spearheaded by Dennis Gallagher. The conference has...
  5. What in Neptune's World?

I'd guess it's an Astreopora myriophthalmia.
  6. Ecotech Marine Vortech propeller pump

It's 400 gal, 8ft long. The ends, which are where the Streams are and where Vortechs would have to go are only 3/4" with the front and back 1". I have 1/4" black acrylic inside the glass on the ends though so it's still 1" total. I don't have any recent pics. I had a crash a bit over a year...
  7. Ecotech Marine Vortech propeller pump

At MACNA they said the Vortechs put out about 3000 gph, same as 6100 Streams are rated for. They also said they compared both "side by side" and the Vortech actually had a higher flow than the Stream. Of course, hardly an unbiased tester. The one problem for me (other than the fact I already...

  9. What in Neptune's World?

Yup, I noted 2 fish in my first post. Henry Schultz' AAOL article awhile back on pipefishes was very helpful. Allen
  10. What in Neptune's World?

How about a red morph of Solenostomus cyanopterus. Allen
  11. What in Neptune's World?

Don't know what they are but looks like a couple of sea dragons of some sort.
  12. Comparison of two different salt mix studies:

None of the salts is "best" in regard to every metal, which makes it hard to compare. Some metals may be much more toxic than others so a salt that is high in a more toxic component may be worse than a salt that is high in 2 or 3 less toxic metals. I did a little tally myself, just for a rough...
  13. What in Neptune's World?

I suppose you want to know the species of flounder, or is flounder good enough? Allen
  14. relocating from los angeles to miami - taking take with me

Don't drive through Arizona! They'll likely stop you at the border with anything live in the vehicle (just as California does in the other direction).
  15. Phosban media in reactors - life?

This doesn't necessarily help at all. I started using Phosban because of a turf algae outbreak even though my phosphates (and nitrates too) were always undectable (Salifert test kit). The theory is that the algae can take up the nutrients at a lower level than we can detect so they are sucked...
