Finally got around to starting a thread of my 10 month old 125 RR with 3 Acan 600 series 18 inch G3 skimmer 55 g sump dosing fusion 1/2
Video is a few months old, sand bed is much cleaner now. All corals doing very well the pic is some what recent. Post more tomorrow, enjoy.
I agree with ecvernon. Once encrusted it will flourish but might take a week or three as instated before. The polyp extension doesn't look good. I would keep it there and maintain a stable alk
I would stop your alk from swinging, keep it at 8.3. Might wanna grab a kalkwasser. It's gonna take a week or three to come back around. Might get ugly before it gets nice again. My acro's do the same if they come from mh's. I don't really go for growth more so color so I keep my white led's to...
But do your Novas have seven stages to simulate different light during the day. i dont think so or require a separated module to creat sunrise to sunset cause my acans don't. I set my lights once and haven't touched them in 7 mnths. And the lightening mode is cool as hell.
ACAN over NOVA all...
AI's are pretty dope too. I chose acan because I can drive 20 min and be at the facility. Customer service is impeccable. Never had an issue with my lights but they have great advice.
Forgot to mention I recommend Radions and orphek as well but Acan is much easier to set up to your specs. But orphek is a little crazy to charge what they do and Radion needs a bigger unit
Acan for me. I have Mh and t5 and my acans work better for me. It helps my lfs grows there sps and lps under acans as well. My tanks are only 18 inches deep tho :)
Unplug. Lift valve all the way up and plug in skimmer. Immediately put valve down and you should be good. Lift a little at a time to get desired bubbles
