My LFS just stopped carrying DT's because he does not sell enough before expiry he will order it for me so its not that bad, plus there online. However its more of a pain as i go through alot i want to investigate whats out there.

Has anyone had any experience with creating your own food supliments for filter feeders. I currently only use DT's phyto and blended mysis and ghost shrimp.
Anybodyt tried on the vegitation side or experience growing your own phyto. The diet of concern is for sea apples as they are the pickiest...

what test are you using for alk,
dKH should be bwtween 7 and 10 a reading of 3 would be bad and could also be why your ph is a little on the low side depending on what the 3 really means. This would freak the corals out a little/lot. but it al depnds on the test your using.
