My neighbor recently went on vacation and asked me to watch over his fish. My question is, he has an octopus and left me no money to buy it live food. Im wondering if they will eat anything other than live food. I really am not too fond of my neighbor and am not really willing to spend money on...

i recently purchased a acropora frag from my lfs for 20 bucks. When i bought it, it was browning and i figured that was why it was so cheap. Its been in my tank now for about 2 months and the color is starting to come back, but at the same time, there appears to be a "hair like substance"...

wow hillbilly, it must be really nice to be so well of as to be able to be mad that someone might not be able to afford the MOST expensive lighting available....pitty

oh my tank has been up for about a year now, so the corals are okay. i just bought a new light. still to poor for mh's

yeah thats what i was thinking of doing. my lfs has small frags for about 20 bucks right now. Some of them are even brown already so i could just buy them and not have to worry about them changing color. do you think they would be healthy though???

Is there anyway that i could keep a species of acropora in a 55 gallon tank w/ pc lighting. I have the coralife 4x65. Ive heard conflicting theories. I was told by a few people that if i kept it as close to the top as possible that i would have a good chance. I would really like to keep one but...

I know the harlequin tusk will eat crabs and snails, but what abot the other stuff. Mainly will it eat shrimp, corals, anenomes, or starfish??? i would really like to keep one but not at the expense of my tank

yeah i figured out that one of my actintics was burnt out. Kinda strange that a bulb would come burnt out with a brand new system. Oh well my lfs replaced the bulb and offered to give me some free fish or coral. I guess everything worked out okay

i just bought the coralife 4x65w pc w/ moonlights today. About 10 minutes after setting it up one of the actintic bulbs went off and i cannot get it to come back on. It "fires" up but doesnt actually come on. Is there a glitch in my system or is a bulb just burnt out??? has anyone had problems...
