    A birds nest should do fine under a 175 mh. I kept a large colony for years in a 46 bow with just 2 96 watt pc's and it did great, even with these low light conditions.

    In my experience, relatively few sps are ever exposed to the air in the wild. they tend to usually grow just under the surface at low tide, or deeper.
