can an overflow box be too big for a system? i plan on using a 1600 gph overflow on a 20 gallon tank, this is a freshwater tank with an aquaponic growbed on top that will do period flushes into the fish tank, i want an overflow box that will be be able to handle the large flow from the flushes...

In the process of making a transition from a canister filter for freshwater setup. Not sure what size I need actually, but tank is 90 gallons and wet dry is 20 gallons, so im guessing something in the 400-600 gph range, also looking for a used but functional pump cause im a poor cheap student
