What enviromental lawsuits..... anysays i have used sounthdown in my refugium w/ no problems whatsoever i did however have a problem of not having enough fauna in my sandbed so i was getting cyano blooms once i added some critters to my bed, problem solved... and i have not seen cyano...

hey dan i live on the island and have seen them as well, i was shocked at first... i wonder if they could sustain reef temperatures year round... if they would i would be collecting them for live food....

If you want to jump start there feeding why dont you feed them some live macro algae. I personally grow and feed to my tangs. Grape Calurpa, Razor (Prolifera) Calurpa, and Gracillaria (Red Macroalgae). If you want email me and i would be more then happy to sell you some of mine my email...

naesco, i will have to dissagree w/ that statement that all tangs need at least 100 gallons of water. the requirement is not the gallons of water but the area that the tangs can swim in. that is like me telling you that i have a 100 gallon hex tank (unrealisticly) and the dimmensions are 2'...

a red sea prizm for a 6 gallon nano i think that is a lil bit of over doing it. IMHO. just go skimmerless, and keep up w/ weekly partial waterchanges, i would probably do a galon a week... brian
