I would say yes most definitely and I'd recommend it. I would be careful not to stir up the sand too much while ur tank is running and possibly a quick saltwater rinse before putting it into the new sump.

I've had good ole PC on my 40 breeder for a few years now and I am settled on a pair of kessil led pendants for my 46 bowfront once it's set up.

Thank you for the rack idea. It's completely unrelated but I was going to make a wooden stand for two 40 breeders containing bearded dragons but I will just buy some racks. Where did you get the racks from? And how did you know they would support the weight?
