delphinus, I would not worry too much about that happening to you. I meen .. think about how many Quiet One pumps are in use today .. this is the first time I have heard of thies pumps doing that .. allthough I see now it is possible .. but I am willing to bet that for ever 150 pumps .. 1 or 2...

Let me see if I can help out here .. Not too sure how tall it is .. but if it 6 to 8" .. IMHO .. I would shoot for Metal Halide .. save your self frustration in the furture and keep pretty much what you want and not worry about lighting ... besides .. Metal Halide look so much better than PC...

I have used rubber bands and attach them to rocks .. some people use tooth picks and squ them ... others use glue ... I personally use the rubber band thing .. I have also placed them in a small hole in my live rock out of the major flow of water .. they will grow out of the hole and attach...
