It's the DI part that's unsafe because your body need the trace minerals and ions as metabolites. I actually went and bought some premixed saltwater at the LFS while buying my live rocks. At 15 bucks for 2.5 gallons, this isn't something I'll be continuing in the long run. But the good news...
