    it's a 46 gallon, the sand bed is aragonite, the slime is just on the sand. I spoke to J.R. at Coral Reef in Seekonk, MA., told him of my situation. He's very familiar with my setup. Don't know if you know him or not, but he's very intelligent, and I trust his word!!!! He suggests 2 Conch's, so...

    the tank has been set up for 3 years, i have a hang on precision marine skimmer, current - 2 powerheads, and the current for the skimmer. The sand bed is live.

    hi all, I've been having some red slime algae on my sand bed. I recently got new replacement bulbs(2-96 watts P.C.'s), about 3-4 weeks ago. I noticed the algae is getting better, but there's still some still on the sand bed. I use R.O. water, and nothing but!!! I feed once a day, 1 cube...

    in my opinion looks somewhat like lympho, or could be a fungus growth. Try netting him and scrape off the growth, see what happens from there.
