Be careful with reef/Ph buffers. THey will raise the Ph but they all so raise the Alk. With continual use it may will raise your Alk to high.
Just Personal experience.
Testing is the key.
Start off with 1/2 tsp per gal and test. If it is not keeping up with demand in your tank increase to a max of 2 tsp per gal in 1/2 tsp steps
Never put some thing in your tank with being able to test the levels.
I use 2 tsp per gal and still need to add Ca on the weekends.

The little brick kind with the plug prongs sticking out it, if you pay more than $10 it’s to much.
All so you should check the fan you want to use the label will have DC12V 0.1 A or some thing like that...

Has lots of info on making concrete live rock substitute.
Unless you use some kind of light weight filler the rocks will weigh a ton. I would not recommend any filler that will decompose. Dead or decomposing matter is bad for the water in the tank.
