  1. Improving Advanced Aquarist

The site is great, A+ in my book. If it is possible I would like to know more about reef keeping techniques in other parts of the world. Regards, Carlos Vicente
  2. Ozone kinetics in seawater

Sorry for the late reply, this information shows that there seems to be a very thin line between safe and dangerous levels of ozone. How can we know in which side of the line are we? Are there any tests available to aquarists that could accurately measure residual ozone or brominated organic...
  3. Ozone kinetics in seawater

Re-posted on Reefs.org General Reefkeeping Discussion board. Any reason why I should not post this topic in this section?
  4. HQI or PFO

My ballast is a PFO EYE, this is the only one I have used so far with the Iwasaki's
  5. Ozone kinetics in seawater

Is there any new information regarding ozone kinetics in seawater? From Aquarium Frontiers archives: "It may be that the brominated organic products of ozonization and chlorination are especially toxic. Austin et al. (1996) indicate that bromoacetates are a major product of ozonization, and...
  6. What kind of filtration does everyone use

Caribbean live rock, Leng Sy Ecosystem Method and 14oz of Marineland carbon (changed on a weekly basis) nothing else.
  7. HQI or PFO

My system is 60" X 32" X 32" (266 gal). I did the same research you are doing now. My choice, 2-250W 6500K Iwasaki with spider reflectors and 2-96W Power Compact actinics. Go to Aquarium Frontiers archives and look for Sanjay Joshi article on 250W and 400W metal halides, the best one yet.
