  3. Photo contest question

Perhaps just an increase to 740, an incremental increase. That way it would not throw off a 800x600 browser, and would give a little more resolution to work with.
  4. Photo contest question

Yeah my dad has a 20 inch LCD monitor and he insists on running at 800x600, the icons are HUGE!!! He is getting older, but its not like he is blind or anything....
  5. March contest (split thread)

Your picture was 814x614, the rules only allow for a maximum size of 640x640. I almost made the same mistake, I posted mine at 1024x768 at first, then read the rules and realized I needed to make a change, so I recropped my photos. It is hard to get to 640x640 or lower.
  6. Photo contest question

I see your point. I had no trouble getting all my entries this month to fit under 250k and that was at 1024x768, but it would be slower for dial up users. I think most everyone is getting to or has arrived at 1024x768 or greater for desktop resolution, and it should not be much longer...
  7. Photo contest question

Can the size of the future photo contests please be increased to 800 pixels?

  10. Lighting in Reef Tanks feature: Questions

I added some PFO parabolic refelctors to the Hamilton hood no problem. They fit right in, and just from appearance it looks like the light output has doubled. Best part was the price, they were only 22.00 each.
  11. Lighting in Reef Tanks feature: Questions

I have a question about my Hamilton Fixture. I have the hamilton 48inch fixture that includes 2 175watt MH bulbs (bulbs are 10k xm's), and 2 x 40 watt URI Actinics. The reflector is simply the reflective white material. I called hellolights to order some reflectors from them to retrofit...
  12. PC, VHO, HALIDE...

It is 80 bucks, and you also have to buy a reef bulb right?

  15. I just found a chip in my tank!!!!

If the chip is on the outside, you could carefully use a windshield chip repair kit from autozone to stop it from spreading.
