I wasn't thinking of trying it, just thought it would be cool. I have seen alot of fish ponds around my area (goldfish, koi, ect.) and thought it would be neat to have a reef pond. Guy, you said it's been done. Where? Any pics? thanks.

Would it be possible to have an outdoor reef? Could someone just dig a hole in their back yard, line it with plastic, add a few pumps, heaters, whatever, and have a successful reef? You wouldn't need lights so you would save alot of cash, and you could make it hold thousands of gallons, as long...
